On Kraterocracy by P. Michael Amedeo

The modern world is just kraterocracy, no? Why is Chinese material dialectics, American democracy, or European liberalism so good? Why said that? Why would we follow these? Why should civilization even exist? Or better yet, why should humanity exist? Why not die? It is circular to say we exist because we do, as there is no reason for it, and no reason not to prefer domination and slaughter to take primacy, and destroy everything? Why not? Why is that wrong? And so, as it seems, the modern world order is simply kraterocracy: people with no concept of morality and civilization ruling by their delusions of ultimate reality without consideration for the Creator. Even in prior ages, why is National Socialism any worse than the New Deal? Or Tsarism any worse than Bolshevism? There is no reason, as man is so sinful, he even ignores the law written upon his heart, and this is why most humans burn in hell, not that hell is Dantean, rather total privation, because they reject salvation in God and sin, pushing themselves away from God and into hell by their own misdeeds. The only reason humanity should exist is because we are creation, and God, in his perfection, created us. And civilization exists exclusively so divine-right kings can protect the innocent, propagate Christianity, sustain the state, and engage in just war.

"These are coherent philosophical positions. But they are deeply unsatisfying — not just emotionally, but existentially incoherent." As is existence! Why even exist if there is nothing?

"Destruction gives no meaning. If you burn everything down, you’re left with ashes. Even if you're right that everything is corrupt, what are you left with? A corpse of a world? Then what? There is no triumph in nothingness." Neither does living, in a godless universe.

"Domination is temporary. You will die. All tyrants die. Every conqueror, every empire, every ideology — buried eventually. You cannot win forever by force. Kraterocracy is unsustainable, and history proves that again and again." As is living!

"Suicide is a metaphysical act — and not a neutral one. It is a decision to reject the possibility of meaning, goodness, or redemption. But rejecting possibility isn't the same as disproving it." How do you know? All this talk not to substantiate anything.

"We hunger for more than power. We crave justice, beauty, meaning." Why are these good? I could easily say the same thing "humans crave sin and cruelty, more than just good", and I would actually be more correct than you!

"But failure isn’t proof of futility. It's proof of the limits of man — which you already recognize." No reason not to die except for God.

"But destruction is easy. Creation is hard. To create in the face of despair — that is godlike." If there is no God, then why even try to be godly? Why create? Because it's hard? Why do hard things? You say nothing beyond emotionalism. In fact, destruction is hard if you are the True Tyrant engaged in a war against humanity. And if hardness is so good, then we should enslave everyone so they have hard lives. Of course, hardness is not the highest virtue, but communion with God is high.

"National Socialism industrialized mass murder. Tsarism and Bolshevism were both authoritarian, but one imprisoned in gulags, the other in feudalism. The New Deal tried, however imperfectly, to lift the poor rather than scapegoat them." Why is mass murder wrong? Why is feudalism wrong? Why is scapegoating the poor wrong? Why not do it? If the reason is in God, then all of them, except maybe Tsarism, are wrong.

"So then — the fact we are still choosing means something can still be chosen otherwise." This is a non-sequitur. Why choose at all? If anything, this is circular. We choose because we choose, and yet without a reason, and no reason not to prefer destruction and domination. Of course, only in God is there reason. In hell there is a reason. The unjust kings shall suffer eternal deprivation from Goodness and Being, and it is of the just Christian leaders to oppose the unjust kings, those who promote sodomy, or unjust war, or murder.

"And truth — real truth — doesn’t need numbers or victory to justify itself. It just is." Only in God is there value.

Why is hope and optimism so good? Why be hopeful without God? Only in God is there any way to say we should be hopeful, and why we shouldn't destroy as much as possible. Without God, we are just beasts. However, I would say that humans are not guilty for Adam's sins, as sin is an act, and a willful act to oppose God, but that humans have the natural proclivity to it, but all humans descended from King Solomon do not suffer the guilt of Solomon's polygamy, for that is his personal sin, but all humans, regardless, are wounded by original sin.
